Southern Oregon has 20-25 small vineyards and 5 or 6 wineries. It is a region that is best known for hardy reds, Cabernets, Merlots and Zinfandels, plus some of the wineries are having good luck with Chardonnays and a few with Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris.

The Tibetan Monastery is said to have the largest Buddha outside of Asia. To enter the Monastery a reservation is requested. To tour the gardens where the three large Buddha's reside, a reservation is not required. 12 miles. Check with the innkeeper when you get here.

Mount Ashland Ski area. 20 miles.

Historic Jacksonville
A 1850's mining town and county seat during the 1800's. It is worth a day visit and has several good restaurants and quaint shops.

Jacksonville Museum

Lake of the Woods
